Running two antivirus products on the same computer can degrade performance and cause system instability. It is important that any previously installed antivirus software is uninstalled from your system before installing your ESET security product. Typical uninstallation using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) is often insufficient.

AppRemover by OPSWAT, an ESET technology partner, is a tool that will automatically detect and remove any previously installed antivirus software. ESET highly recommends using AppRemover to ensure your system is completely clean and ready for a new installation of your ESET security product.  Use the link below to download AppRemover.

Important! If you are unsure which antivirus product is installed on your system, please use OPSWAT AppRemover. If AppRemover is unsuccessful in removing your previous antivirus software, locate and download the specific removal tool for your software from the list below.

If AppRemover does not successfully locate your previous antivirus software, follow the steps below.

1.   Click the link associated with the antivirus software currently installed on your system and follow the prompts or instructions on the website.

2.   After uninstallation is complete, you will need to restart your computer. You may then proceed with installing your ESET security product.
